No, the State  department reviews Permit applications and awards  Permits. I only certify in the proper training that is required by the State to receive your CCW Permit. After my class you will receive your training certification paperwork.

This is a sixteen hour course broken down into 2 days. The two days consist of one class day and one range day.

Yes, there is a Hybrid Zoom class option as well as a Hybrid self paced online option. 

 Yes you will have to pay a range fee of $50-$150 depending on the range and time you select.

Yes, each permit has an application fee:

Utah CCW - $63.25

MD CCW- $75

MD HQL- $50

VA CCW - $50

FL CCW- $119

DE CCW- $65

DC CCW - $75

NJ CCW - $225

TX CCW - $50

There is also a fingerprint fee for all permits. 

DC CCW you need to:

1.     Be 21 Yrs old 

2.     Posses a registered firearm 

3.     Complete firearm training 

4.     Licensing is processed by DC  FFL (Federal Firearm License) and processed within 90 days 

5.     Complete Fingerprints and Background check

MD CCW 

1.     Be atleast 21

2.     Get HQL ( Handgun qualification) 

3.     Complete firearm training 

4.     Complete Fingerprints and Background check

5.     Upload documents on MD Gov website 

6.     Has not been convicted of a felony or of a crime punishable by imprisonment for more than one year. Has not been committed within the previous ten years of any juvenile detention center for longer than one year. Is not addicted to alcohol nor has ever been convicted of a offense that involves the possession or distribution of a controlled substance. Has not, based on the results of an investigation, exhibited a  propensity for violence or instability

Utah CCW issued by the dept. of public safety 

1.     Be 21 yrs s old 

2.     Complete firearm training

3.     Complete Ink Fingerprints and  Background check 

4.     Mail off documents 

5.       There are provisional permits for those who are 18 to 21

6.     Licensing are processed at the state level by the Bureau of criminal identification must be processed within 60 days. of the application being received

Yes if you have a job that requires it. If not, then your can only get you HQL Permit.

No you do not have to have your HQL before you come to UID CCW Class. *BONUS* If you book the Max CCW you will receive your HQL free. 

 No, registered firearms do not lead to more gun violence. Urban communities have the strictest gun laws and yet have higher gun crime. There are less guns for law abiding citizens and more guns for criminals.  Those with registered  firearms are less likely to commit a crime.  Safety Training and basic shooting training leads to less accidental person shootings.  That is why UID is here to promote legal guns and safety awareness. UID wants to change the stigma.  Many people hear firearms and think radical but even MLK JR  applied for CCW in 1956.
